Ham & Turkey Club Sliders are a simple, irresistible appetizer—perfect for game day, parties, or a casual weekend get-together. They bake up warm, cheesy, and satisfying, and they tend to vanish as soon as they come out of the oven.
I love hosting friends on game day: cheering at the TV, sharing laughs, and serving a spread of easy, crowd-pleasing snacks. These sliders are one of my favorite go-to appetizers because they come together quickly but taste like something you’d order at a deli. With a few pantry staples and a 20-minute bake, you’ll have a tray of golden, melty sandwiches ready to pass around.
These sliders are essentially a warm take on a classic club sandwich. The base recipe is straightforward, but it’s also very forgiving—swap or add toppings to suit your crowd. Crisp bacon, thinly sliced tomato, red onion, or a handful of spinach all make excellent additions. The small size makes them perfect for grazing while watching the game or for serving as an appetizer before a larger dinner.

When I first tried these, I planned to taste just one. One warm slider turned into three, and I had to resist going back for more until dinner. They’re that good—savory layers of ham and turkey, melted provolone, and a buttery, garlicky top that crisps up in the oven.

Because these sliders are so quick and adaptable, they’re great for using up leftovers too. If you have sliced holiday ham or leftover roasted turkey, slice it thin and layer it in—easy, flavorful, and waste-free. The mild flavor of provolone complements both meats, but feel free to use cheddar, Swiss, or your favorite melting cheese.

Ingredients
- 12 Hawaiian-style rolls or dinner rolls
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 8 slices honey ham, deli sliced
- 8 slices smoked turkey, deli sliced
- 6 slices provolone cheese (or enough to overlap and cover the meat)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- Using a serrated knife, slice the rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom halves on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a small bowl, stir together the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard. Spread about half of this mixture evenly over the cut sides of the roll bottoms.
- Layer the ham and turkey over the mayo-coated bottoms so the bread is fully covered. Depending on the size of your slices, arrange the meat so each slider gets a good amount—four small slices per layer usually works well.
- Lay the provolone over the meat, overlapping slices as needed to cover the top.
- Spread the remaining mayo mixture on the cut sides of the roll tops and place them, cut side down, over the cheese.
- Melt the butter in a small bowl, then stir in the dried parsley and garlic powder. Brush this butter mixture over the tops of the sliders. You may have a little butter left over—use it on the edges or save for another use.
- Bake for about 15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the rolls are golden and slightly crisp on top.
- Remove from the oven and cut the slider cluster into individual sliders with a sharp knife or spatula. Serve immediately while warm.
Notes
If you have leftover holiday ham or roasted turkey, thinly slice it and use that in place of deli slices. Thin slices make the sliders easier to bite and more enjoyable to eat.
Other great topping ideas:
- Thinly sliced tomatoes
- Crisp bacon, either crumbled or whole slices
- Thinly sliced red onion
- Fresh spinach in place of lettuce
Tips and Variations
Make these sliders ahead up to the point of baking: assemble them, cover tightly, and refrigerate for a few hours. When you’re ready, brush with the butter mixture and bake a few extra minutes if chilled. For a sharper flavor, swap Dijon for spicy mustard or use a sharper cheese like cheddar. For a sweeter finish, brush the tops with a touch of honey-butter before baking.
